Before you teach
Key idea: Complete Introduction To Pungra first, then make sure the basics are in place before you lead a class.
Start with the Introduction
Instructors begin as Members. If you have not finished Introduction To Pungra, do that first. It explains what Pungra is, why it is exercise and not performance, and why there is no routine to learn.
What you need before you teach
- A Level 2 group exercise qualification, or an equivalent.
- Personal liability insurance, so you and your participants are protected.
- A music licence covering the music you play in class.
Insurance and a music licence are both required before you teach.
Why these matter
A group exercise qualification shows you can plan and lead exercise safely. Insurance protects everyone if something goes wrong. A music licence matters because Pungra is built on Punjabi music, and music played in a class is licensed separately from music you listen to at home.
